A Message from Our Pastor
I would like to personally thank you for choosing Lakeview Baptist as your church. During these unprecedented times, strengthening our relationship with God, who has not been surprised by any of this, is so important.
As Covid-19 creates this new reality for all of us, we are focused on the best interests and well-being of our church members, our team members, and the global community. We are taking all necessary measures to ensure everyone’s safety and health.
For Our Congregation:
We are here for you – on our website, by phone, and on our social channels. We are following all social distancing recommendations and guidelines as put forth by our earthly authority, with the respect to what has been commanded by our Heavenly Authority. It is our goal to to continue to assemble (safely) as the body of Christ was instructed in Hebrews 10:25.
(As of December 1, 2020)
- We are meeting in our sanctuary. Please follow social distancing guidelines: maintain distance, no handshaking/hugging, one family per row/side.
- We will continue to livestream our services on our Facebook page for those who are unable to attend.
- Sunday School is at 10am on Sunday mornings
- Choir Practice is at 10:30 am on Sunday before service.
- Children’s Church is held during 11am Sunday morning services.
- We have Sunday Evening Service at 5pm.
We do not have evening services the first Sunday of the month. - Master’s Club (ages 3-6th Grade) & Limited Edition (Grades 7th – 12th) are held at 5pm on Sundays.
- There was no Sunday School in August.
- Whenever face to face meetings occur we are continuing to follow enhanced disinfecting protocols.
(March/April 2020) We are holding parking lot/drive in services on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am and broadcasting that live on our Facebook page.(March/April 2020) We are going live on Facebook with a team of less than 6 people for our Wednesday night services.(March/April 2020) We are not holding Sunday evening services.We will return to our sanctuary for HOMECOMING service on May 3rd following social distancing guidelines: maintain distance, no handshaking/hugging, one family per row/side.We normally do not have Evening services on homecoming (May 3) or Mother’s Day (May 10). We will continue with these traditions.There will be no Choir or Choir Practice in June. (Jim Roark may contact you about singing ahead of time)There will be no Sunday Evening Service in July.There will be no Sunday School in July.There will be no Children’s Church in June.The church leaders are conducting meetings over the phone, no decisions are being made autonomously.
For Our Global Community:
We understand the importance of supporting our local communities and missionaries, particularly during times like these. We will continue our efforts as the Lord provides. Our clothing closet is available by appointment only and monthly mission fund goals are still being met, thanks to the dedicated contributions by our congregation.
Please be assured that Lakeview Baptist plans to continue to be here for you and your family. Remember the church is the body of Christ, not the building. With God’s help, we can get through this! (no matter where or how we meet)
